Labor and Delivery Visit

So, I had an OB appointment on Monday, and the doc did a urine test to check on a bacterial infection that had been present earlier. I have a tendency to get Urinary Track Infections. So anyways, last night, after we get home from work ( I am staying with my parents while my hubby is out of town) my phone rings and it is my OB. He tells me that the infection is still there, and it is stronger than it was before. Then asks me if I have any backaches or what not. Well, the way to treat the infection is with penicillion...guess what...this girl is allergic to pennicilin...ofcourse...one more thing to add to my list!! So, the other way is to get an IV of an antibiotic. So, off my mom and I went to the Labor and Delivery at Whuestoff. We got there at 6:30, they hooked me up to make sure I wasnt having any contractions, and to make sure Brady's heartbeat was strong...ofcourse it was...he is a strong baby!! So, they put all my information in, so when it is time for Brady to make his healthy appearance, we will be all set. So, they put the IV in, and start asking me all the questions...well as they are doing this, I notice my hands start to swell, and turn red. Then my head starts to ich like crazy. My mom notices I am turning red. I didnt have any problem breathing, so they just watched me. They called the pharmacist about it, and he said I was just senstitive to the medicine, and not having an allergic reaction...thank goodness...After the IV was done, they showed me around the Labor and Delivery. I got to see where we will stay after delivery and such. It was really nice, and the nurses were awesome. So, I am so excited for September to come now!!! I still have to have an IV when I am in labor for this infection, but if I didnt, then Brady could get sick...so it is worth it. Poor Bob is out of town, so he was freaking out...but my mom talked to him and was like she is ok..she is laughing and the baby is fine. He comes home today...I am sooo excited! I cant wait to see him. He will be here around 4. It is nice having my parents here because they kept me busy all week! Anyways, nice exciting story for the week!!
